This week we practiced numbers 1-29 (twenty nine). Some of
the children can count this high. We also did a review of zoo animals: lion,
tiger, penguin, zebra, bear, giraffe, elephant, and rhino. We also reviewed
feelings from last year: happy, sad, angry, surprised, hungry, thirsty,
excited, scared, and sleepy. We practiced “how are you today?” “I am…”.
For our PYP unit on water, we are learning about the
significance of water for living creatures. We are working on small group
projects where the children learn about different animals that live in
different bodies of water across the world. The children are very good with
animal names and are very interested in the unit which is great.
