April PYP plan

The Alphabet

Today we started learning the alphabet. We started by saying "A" and words that begin with "A" such as apple and names of children who begin with this letter.

We made Ants as a craft.

 

 

Yesterday we learned "medium" after watching Goldilocks and the Three Bears.

Turtles

 

Last week we made turtles for Pet Week. We watched the Tortoise and the Hare and the children learned vocabulary from the story such as race, winner, rabbit, and turtle.

Here is what the Green Class will be studying next week. We will do some review as well as talk about pets.

 

 

Forest Trip

At the end of the month, the Green Class are going on a trip into the forest to look at nature and animals. Here is a picture dictionary I have created that covers the vocabulary we will learn.

 

 

Bees

 

Yesterday in class we made bees. The children watched a clip from "The Bee Movie". This week we focused on animals that fly: birds, butterflies, bees, and bats.

Today in our afternoon class we made butterflies.

The children told me what colours were on their butterfly.

Fish

This morning in class the children each told me their names and something they like:

 

"My name is ______ and I like __________".

 

In the afternoon, we read the Rainbow Fish and made our own Rainbow fish.

 

 

 

 

 

I updated the PYP vocabulary under the "vocabulary" tab above. We are currently focusing on animals.

 

Making Birds

Since we are learning about animals in PYP we created birds in class on Friday afternoon.
